Texture Gadget

Here is a simple gadget to help you get the intuitions of texture coordinates.

The tringle has fixed geometry - but each of its corners can be placed somewhere in texture space.

Move the sliders to move the texture coordinates of the triangle - note how it “picks up” the texture that it covers in texture space.

Also, note that 0,0 is in the lower left, so the image is “flipped”. You can unflip it by playing with the texture coordinates.
